Loved by its viewers and critics alike it had 3 sequels. Staring “Val” McKee (Kevin Bacon) and Earl Basset (Fred Ward) work in an isolated mining town with an underground secret. Rhonda LeBeck (Finn Carter), a student conducts seismology tests and provides a romantic interest.

Classic space horror from 1979, Ridley Scott directed and starred Sigourney Weaver a highly aggressive extraterrestrial monster stalking and killing the crew of the spaceship The Nostromo.

Multiple sequels all of true quality ! You can even get wallpaper but I am not sure I want that on MY wall!

Predator – Arthropod

King Kong shocked the world in 1933 when a New York film crew visit skull island to make a film. They meet Kong who falls in love with the leading lady Ann Darrow. Their unrequited love wreaks havoc on New York and the Empire State building was never seen in the same light after that!

Kraken is a massive sea monster resembling a squid, it is said to live in the North sea of the coast of Greenland and Norway, might relate to a true animal the giant squid, being close to 15m long. Needless to say it feeds on ships and their passengers and crew.

Them! – Giant Ants

Pictures in black and white science fiction film about gigantic ants discovered in New Mexico desert.

Made in 1954 probably the first of an era of “nuclear monster” films and “big bug” pics. Sound plays a big part in adding to the suspense of the film and given its age the insects are really scary.

Factually the bugs break the laws of physics and if you look hard Leonard Nimoy makes an un-credited appearance.
